Here I am in my studio again...
I did not start drawing or painting until I was almost 50...
In 1997 I had a dream that woke me up in the middle of the night and the message was very clear: I had always wanted to learn to draw and to paint, and what was I waiting for?
A few months later I was in Drawing 101 at Saint Ambrose University in a room full of easels and nervous freshmen. By the mid-semester I was hooked and I declared a graphic design major which later expanded into a double major wtih fine art. ...
I had my graphic design senior show in 2000 and fine arts show in 2001, and moved to Minneapolis in 2001 for life a a free lance graphic designer and part time painter.
I participated in the Visual Arts Focus Group (VAFG) and Women's Art Registration of Minnesota (WARM), and shared a studio in Lowertown arts district of St. Paul. Exhibitions and shows shows in Minneapolis and St. Paul. After retirement in 2016, I moved to Sheboygan, WI, to be part of the Sheboygan Visual Artists. I moved back to Minnesota in 2018.
I love making art and I love sharing my adventures in kayaking, hiking and exploring beautiful places through painting and photography. My adventures inspire me and keep me growing and exploring as an artist.
